Okay, it’s not wine and it’s not hiking, but I have to give a quick nod to the annual Snowbird Brewfest. Partly because everyone thinks there is no alcohol in Utah (have you been to MY house) ; ) and partly because the Snowbird Resort is so beautiful.

The Brewfest is in its 8th year, and it gets a little bigger every year. This year I think there were 19 local and national breweries. Admission is free and they have live music, food, and local vendors selling crafty stuff.
Ideally, we would have gone up early in the day, hiked a bit, and then hit up the Brewfest for some drinks and food. But it was Father’s Day, and we got off to a late start. So, we went up in the early afternoon, sampled some beers (I had a glass of wine, of course!), walked around a bit, and had a late lunch.

Snowbird is one of the best places to ski in Utah. In fact, it’s my husband’s favorite. I prefer Alta, just up the road, but they both have amazing terrain and of course, the best snow on earth! When the snow melts, there are hiking trails everywhere, and in the summer, Snowbird offers a variety of family friendly activities. Plus you can ride the tram all year (a must-do at least once, even if you aren’t a skier!).
